Heavy equipment operator
The Frazier Quarry is hiring immediately for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join their strip crew. This position will be a part of a crew that will spend extended periods of time involved in stripping operations at our Timberville, Elkton, and Harrisonburg quarries. Job duties include safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment utilized in the quarry, such as excavator, dozer, loader, rock breaker, etc. Primary job is as an operator with many cross training functions. Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required.
Successful candidate skills needed: Must have strict safety adherence, possesses a keen awareness of changing site conditions and a thorough understanding of safety policies and federal/state laws, and pass a pre-employment screening. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement. High School diploma or GED and a valid state driver’s license required.
Off road truck driver
The Frazier Quarry is hiring immediately for an Off Road Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to join their strip crew. This position will be a part of a crew that will spend extended periods of time involved in stripping operations at our Timberville, Elkton, and Harrisonburg quarries. Candidate must be able to operate a manual transmission heavy duty off-road earth or rock moving equipment such as, but not limited to, rigid frame or articulated haul truck.
Successful candidate skills needed: Must have strict safety adherence, have knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles, and pass pre-employment screening. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement. High School diploma or GED and a valid state driver’s license required.
Parts Runner/Warehouse Attendant
The Frazier Quarry, Inc. is currently seeking a Warehouse Attendant and Parts Runner. This position will be responsible for the safe retrieval and distribution of all warehouse parts, tools, and supplies necessary for optimal and efficient productivity across all Frazier Quarry locations. Primary contact for matters related to on-road vehicle maintenance, as well as off-road equipment transport needs. Will work under the Procurement and Warehouse Specialist to maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Position may require long distance traveling outside of normal business hours and/or overnight.
Successful candidate skills needed: Must have strict safety adherence, pass pre-employment screening, and understand and carry our written or verbal instructions. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement. High School diploma or GED and a valid state driver’s license required.
mobile mechanic
The Frazier Quarry is hiring immediately for an experienced day shift mobile mechanic. Responsibilities include examining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various pieces of off road equipment, including but not limited to, loaders, excavators, dozers, and various types of off road trucks located at their plants in and around Harrisonburg, VA.
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of industrial mobile maintenance experience. This position will be working outdoors year-round. Candidate must possesses a keen awareness of changing site conditions and a thorough understanding of safety policies and federal/state laws.
